"We want to
thank you for the enjoyable stay we had at your B&B last week.
Jennifer made us feel welcome and Rusty showed off his extensive
knowledge of history.
In particular, we think the Eggs Benedict that Rusty prepared
for breakfast were the most scrumptious we've ever had, and
beautifully presented.
We recall Rusty talking about his delicious Oyster Gumbo and
would like to try it if he's willing to share the recipe,
please."
Best regards,
Kari & Jeanne
"Sorry we have been so slow in thanking you for your wonderful
hospitality during our recent stay at your B & B. The
accommodations in the "Iris Room" were excellent as were your
great breakfast offerings. If you recall, we had to request
downsizing after the first morning as your breakfast servings
were so bountiful.
We appreciated also your very helpful recommendations in regard
to restaurants in the area and your suggestions as to local
attractions and points of interest. We were especially impressed
with the Maritime Museum and their exhibits. Hopefully, we will
be able to return at some future time for a longer visit. Thanks
again for making our visit such a pleasant experience, and we
wish you a happy holiday season!"

Jennifer and
Rusty,
"Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. We enjoyed our stay
even though it was only for one night. We also want to thank
you once again for the champagne. That was very kind and
special. We will certainly recommend your B&B to others, and
hope to be back one day ourselves."
Best wishes.

Dear Rusty and Jennifer:
"Sorry to be so long in writing you, but things have
been a little hectic since we've been back. However, we did
want to let you know how we truly enjoyed our stay. You
made us feel as if we were part of your family and the
house was very comfortable. The bedroom we picked was very
quaint. It was lovely. We have decided that whenever we
come back this way, we will definitely give you a call, as
your hospitality, the food, and everything one could want
you definitely provided. See you again when the time
permits."
Sincerely,
Connie & Jr.

"Thanks for the hospitality. After
several stays, we're starting to regard your
home as our home. It has a charm about it
unlike anywhere else. The breakfasts were
great. You can't help but start the day off
right with a meal like that.
Sorry we always miss Leopold. I guess
he only stays savoring your cooking."

Dear Rusty and Jennifer,
"My daughter and I had a wonderful time
with our stay at the Angel Rose. The room
was excellently appointed and very
comfortable. The breakfast blew us away !!!
The large fruit cup and the french toast
topped with stewd apples was delicious.
You've made my first stay at Rockport a
memorable experience. I bragged to my co-
workers about my stay and most likely, they
will be coming to stay for a visit. Hope to
see you soon."
Best To you,
Renee
"We had a wonderful stay at Angel Rose. The breakfasts were outstanding,
the room was clean and nicely decorated with period furniture and
accessories, and Innkeeper Rusty's tour and description of the history
on the house was quite fascinating."
Dick & Charlotte
"Rusty was very accommodating of our need for a gluten-free diet. The
time he spent in purchasing and preparing breakfast items from scratch
was just one of the many things that made our stay at Angel Rose
memorable and relaxing."
TK, San Antonio, Texas
"We enjoyed a 2 night stay at the Angel Rose B & B. It is a great
Historical house in a nice, quite neighborhood, away from the noise of
busy streets. It is within walking distance of many attractions.
Breakfast was done in style with the best china set out and wonderful
food. We felt very pampered while there. The owner went the extra mile
to make us feel at home."

always be a sweet memory from my wedding. Rusty has an obvious love of
the history of the home, and I thank him for sharing his knowledge with
us. The breakfasts are excellent, and his hospitality is unsurpassed. I
will recommend Angel Rose to all of my friends who want a memorable stay
in Rockport."

"Our stay at the Angel Rose Bed and Breakfast was delightful. The
ambiance was nestled in the comforts of the 1800's. The breakfasts were
deliciously planned by our host and simply appetizing. We will
definitely be visiting the Angel Rose again. Thank you Rusty!"
Robert and Raquel, Pasadena, TX
"Just wanted to drop you a note and let
you know how much we enjoyed our recent stay at Angel Rose B&B. You were
a very gracious host and very informative about the history of your
home. We were a little disappointed that Leopold didn't make his
presence known, but can't have everything. The breakfast was great.
Would really like your recipe for the stuffed French toast. Again,
thanks for a great stay."

"The events of 07/31/09 and 08/1/09..... My wife Ellen and I live near
Dallas, Texas in the small town of Midlothian, Texas. I lived in
Victoria, TX for 20 yrs before moving to Midlothian and was born in the
Rio Grande Valley and am very familiar with the coastal bend region of
Texas. We both needed a little vacation and I was in the process of
booking a hotel when Ellen suggested that I look for a bed & breakfast
in Rockport. "They don't have anything like that around there," I said
to myself. Lo and behold I found Angel Rose and made reservations. Rusty
Day welcomed us with a bit of history about the place and I must say I
was intrigued when he said they have had ghostly goings on there. May be
a little frightened too. Our first night proved to be interesting to say
the least. I carry a money clip and always keep my bills in it, never in
my wallet or in my pocket loose. Well, after an evening of sight seeing
and a trip to Port Aransas, we returned to Angel Rose around 9:30pm.
Exhausted after a long day, we retired to our room. The Rose room. I put
my money clip with all my bills neatly tucked in it on the night stand
near the radio. I usually sleep with the radio on during the night,
except this night I was too tired and went to sleep with the radio off.
Early in the am hours I awoke to the radio "on". Tired, I thought
nothing of it and turned it off. A little while later, it came on again.
So, I turned off again. We arose early the next morning to the smell of
fresh brewed coffee. I went down stairs and Ellen and I sat outside on
the front porch and I asked her if she heard the radio that evening. She
said yes, and then I explained the events that had occurred. Explaining
I had turned the radio off due to me being tired, she stated "yes, I
remember you doing that". We laughed at the possibility of something
paranormal going on. After coffee, we went upstairs to freshen up for
breakfast. I went to pick up my money clip and found it moved and one of
the bills pulled completely out. I told Ellen to come look at this, and
she was astonished. She knows I never leave the clip in this way, with
one bill pulled out. She said may be the house ghost did it, " oh yeah",
I said, "I didn't"..
After a long day of "doing stuff" we again retired to the Rose room. We
had purchase a box of salt water taffy and placed it on the table near
the door. I told Ellen look at this area," there is nothing out of
place, here is my money clip, nice and neat and I will leave the radio
off again". And so we went to sleep. At exactly 12 midnight I hear a
"click" and the radio comes on. I smile and turn it off. Curious, I ask
my wife, "hear that"?, she says "yes". We return to a slumbering sleep
and awake the next morning to the smell of fresh brewed coffee again. As
I arose I look at the table where we had stored the taffy and the money
clip. Everything looked intact, ah, except for the three empty taffy
wrappers. I guess our friendly ghost likes taffy, and the radio on in
the middle of the night. We will return to Angel Rose, and request the
Rose room. Did I mention I love to listen to George Noory, the host of
Coast to Coast am? Evidently so does Leopold..................Oh yeah,
the pictures. We took some pictures of the Rose room our last night. A
couple of them come to mind. The ones of the corner vanity and mirror.
Look closely at the mirror, do you see what I see? Enjoy your stay at
Angel Rose, it will be interesting to say the
least....................."
